    52835WA The Certificate IV in University Access Program course is a one semester course designed to prepare international students for university academic studies. Successful completion will provide a pathway to the Diploma of Commerce at Canning College, selected universities, TAFE or the workforce.

    The qualification will give students the equivalent of a 70 ATAR (Australian Teritary Admissions Rank) which can lead to entry into a selection of courses at Curtin, Edith Cowan or Murdoch university. The Certificate IV UAP will be offered as a commerce or science stream but could allow access to other degree courses subject to successful completion of entry requirements.

    TAFE International Western Australia (TIWA) is the Registered Training Organisation (RTO 52395) and CRICOS Provider (00020G) for the delivery of training to international students enrolled into a Vocational Education and Training (VET) course in Western Australia.

    This course is delivered by Canning College on TIWA's behalf however TIWA retains responsibility for the quality of the training and assessment delivered by Canning College and for the issue of certification documentation to students.

    Credit for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): Canning College recognises prior learning by acknowledging competencies and outcomes achieved (skills, knowledge and attributes) held as a result of formal training and education (both within Australia and overseas), work experience and/or life experience. Students who have successfully completed similar units of study at another institution may be given credit/exemption for a module in the Certificate IV course.
