Vickery House, which is managed by Curtin University, is situated on the eastern boundary of the campus and houses 300 Curtin University and Canning College students in 42 individual modern brick units each housing 8 students (same sex). The units are within walking distance of classrooms, library, shops and transport. Students have their own furnished single bed/study room and share the kitchen, living and ablutions. Students must provide their own bed linen, cooking and eating utensils. Each unit has a phone in the living area to receive calls. Emergency calls can be made to security but all other calls require a pre-paid phone card. Students over 18 can arrange to have a personal telephone line in their room.
