Canning College provides an environment for students to re-engage with learning and take a clear pathway to university.
Students benefit from a calm setting where distractions are reduced and expectations are clearer. Teachers provide support while encouraging students to take responsibility for their progress.
As there is no catchment, or local area intake, students from across Perth attend Canning College, which also has a large number of international students from more than 30 countries.
The College’s more mature learning approach, which includes the absence of uniforms and first-name teacher relationships, helps reset expectations and supports independence.
Timetable gaps allow time for independent study and reflection, helping students rebuild focus and confidence. This supports renewed engagement and steady progress toward future goals.
Our approach provides a second chance for students to get back on track for university entry by repeating subjects or tackling entire programs with renewed focus.
