YOUR pathway to university

If you’re working towards university entry, the environment you study in makes a difference.

Canning College offers Year 11 and Year 12 WACE ATAR studies that give students focused preparation for university. We also offer the WA Universities’ Foundation Program, which is a Year 12-equivalent program that is available to students who have spent fewer than two years in the Australian education system, and a WACE General University Pathway.

At Canning College, you’ll find that things are quieter and more focused, which makes it easier to stay on track.

You’ll find teachers who support your progress but also expect you to take responsibility for your work and manage your time.

You’ll find students who come from across Perth (there’s no intake boundary) to achieve goals that are similar to yours. You’ll also study alongside international students who are drawn from more than 30 countries and add significantly to the multicultural atmosphere of the College.

Day to day feels different from a traditional school. There are no uniforms, and you use first names with teachers. Your timetable may also include gaps between classes, giving you time to study, revise or take a break before your next lesson.

It’s a more independent way of learning, and for students who want to stay focused and work toward university, it often feels like a better fit.
