You don’t have to complete A Levels to achieve entry into Australian universities. At Canning College, in Perth Australia, you can use your O Levels to join the WA Universities’ Foundation Program (WAUFP) in April and July and be ready to enter a top Australian university in 2025.

Achieve more with our programs
Canning College has a range of programs that help students take their first steps in international education.
Western Australian Universities’ Program (WAUFP) – completed in 8 or 10 months, the Foundation Program starts in January, April and August and leads to entry into many degree courses across Australia.
Diploma of Commerce – equal to first year university studies, this one-year program leads into year two Bachelor programs at The University of Western Australia, Curtin University, Murdoch University and the University of Notre Dame Australia.
Certificate IV in University Access Program – this six-month program leads directly into a range of degree programs at Curtin University and Murdoch University
Western Australian Certificate of Education – this year-long program is the recognised WA school program that provides entry into degree courses across Australia.
Year 11 – students improve their English skills and academic capabilities before progressing into WAUFP or WACE.
Year 10 – integrates science, technology, engineering and mathematics to prepare students for Year 11 studies

Applications and scholarships
High-performing students may be eligible for Canning College scholarships, including up to 40% off tuition fees.
We make it easier to study with us by allowing students to use their latest academic results, including preliminary or forecast results, to apply for a place in the WA Universities’ Foundation Program.

When international students successfully complete a Canning College program, it opens up a world of university opportunities. While some students choose to continue their studies elsewhere in Australia or even overseas, many stay in Western Australia.
We have long-standing partnerships with Western Australia’s five universities – The University of Western Australia, Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University and the University of Notre Dame. Many of our students also choose to enrol in other Australian universities such as the University of Melbourne, the University of Sydney and the University of Queensland.

Canning College has been educating international students for 40 years and our staff understand the unique needs of students from many different backgrounds.
After students enrol in Canning College programs, our staff help them prepare for life on campus and in our great city.
Before students leave home to start their international education adventure, they are provided with all the information they need to make life easy in Perth.
They learn about the subjects in each program, and our support services, which include additional English language assistance and wellbeing services. They also receive advice regarding accommodation.
Students under the age of 18 stay with a registered member of the Australian Homestay Network, where they receive additional care and support.
The support students need
On arrival in Perth, students are offered a free airport pick-up service that takes them to their accommodation. Our spacious campus, set in a natural setting next to Curtin University, has modern classrooms and fully equipped science laboratories where subjects are taught by teachers who understand the needs of international students.
A team of Student Advisors are available throughout the year to provide advice and assistance with queries regarding studies, personal wellbeing and university destinations.
